Volunteer Job Descriptions

Summer Games Volunteer Positions

  1. Registration – sign in participants and give them their badge, goodie bag, and t-shirt.
  2. Badminton Scorekeepers – No experience needed. We will train you. It is very easy but does require standing.
  3. Pickleball Referees – Experience in pickleball needed. We are having an officiating clinic before the start of the games. Please call the MSO office if you are interested
  4. Dancesport – Please call the MSO office to learn more
  5. Event Coordinators
  6. Triathlon and Road Race volunteers to stand on course and point people in correct direction
  7. Marketing volunteers
  8. T-shirt volunteers - help fold and distribute t-shirts
  9. AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!!

Michigan Senior Olympics (MSO) would not be possible without a group of dedicated volunteers.
It takes over 400 people to make the winter and summer Olympics a success!

The functions of the volunteers vary and we are in need of the following:
1. Sports Coordinators who have experience in their field.
2. Officials, judges, timers, scorekeepers, office assistants to answer phones
and perform data entry.
3. If you have a special skill or interest that you feel would benefit MSO, please do not hesitate
to contact the MSO office.
As a volunteer you will be representing not only MSO and the athletes but the State of Michigan and
we know you will do it with pride and make each year a wonderful experience for all.
